Fortnite has come a long way providing a smooth gaming experience to players for a very long time.
And over time, new games are being introduced with several amazing features and enhanced graphics along with user-friendly gaming experiences.
This poses a significant challenge to the already popular games currently dominating the market.
To keep up with the trend and continue holding the players, the already existing games constantly bring updates with new features.
Fortnite introduced the new “no-build” gaming mode to match the current trends of Battle Royale games, providing an experience of Fortnite where you can’t build or harvest.
Several players find it difficult to dominate in zero build mode, as they have been adept at building and making edits to defend themselves or outsmart their opponents.
In this article, I’m going to share some tips which would help you in dominating most of the zero-build games in chapter 5. Because it’s not just about the gaming mode, but the chapters and seasons as well.
With every chapter and its season, the meta changes. No forms of technique continue to work forever.
An update isn’t just about improving in terms of reducing lag or bugs, it’s about making the game more intense for players.
Fortnite zero-build tips for Chapter 5:
1. Improving your aiming and positioning:
Your crosshair is the one thing that does all the work for you, regardless of what gun you’re using.
Practice aiming as much as possible, because, at the end of the day, it’s something that decides the victor most of the time.
Learn to position yourself in a location that provides at least some form of cover, a bush works fine as well.
- Practise aim daily.
- Refrain from taking fights at every location.
2. Know when to fight:
It’s just like the trick I mentioned earlier. Most of the time you are simply intent on looting or moving around, but you’re interrupted by an opponent.
In a situation like that, don’t counteract immediately in panic. Even if you had the first damage, it doesn’t mean you are defeated.
That’s where the mobility items come into play. In Fortnite Chapter 5, these items are a must.
You can shockwave yourself in a place which guarantees your safety while working as a cover at the same time.
And if your opponent approaches you without knowing your exact location, they might end up dying because you’re the one in wait. This could be a crucial Fortnite zero-build tip in Chapter 5 if mastered through experience.
- always carry mobility items.
- Don’t panic when you are being shot first.
- Choose when to fight based on your location.
3. Understanding projectile g{}ns:
With so many types of G{}ns available in Fortnite, it’s very important to understand how they work. And I’m not going to explain the amount of damage they deal, as it keeps changing from season to season.
What I’m talking about is the projectile. Most of the g{}ns, including sniper and dmrs are projectile based.
It means that the bullets you shoot using those g{}ns will have a travelling time. I know most of you are already aware of this, however, I think there are still players who need to know about this.
The further your enemies are, the more time it’s gonna take for the bullet and a lot of practice is needed when considering to use those g{}ns.
You don’t need to consider this when you’re engaged in close-range battles, or when your target is still.
The problem is when your target is far in distance and moving at the same time. Shockwaves and other mobility items also make it difficult for you to hit the target with projectile-based weapons.
- You need to learn to aim specifically for projectile-based weapons.
- Mastering these weapons will help you eliminate the moving targets easily.
- Shortguns and ARs aren’t bothered by this effect until the target is far away.
4. Be thoughtful about medallion:
So, here’s a tricky part. For most players, the medallion is an interesting part of the game.
However, there have been major changes with them and people now choose to ignore medallion as the amount of healing you gain per second has been reduced I guess.
Medallions come with disadvantages, applying them reveals your location to the other players. And you’ve got to remain in constant watch as players would come for you. This might work as an opportunity for those who have great confidence in their skills.
- You can choose to lend near a medallion and push the one who’s taking it after you have a decent loot.
- If you’re a pro, it provides you an opportunity to bait enemies.
- And make sure to check out some Fortnite quotes that hit hard and make you feel connected with the game.
5. Know when to camp:
In Battle Royale, camping is known to be one of the cheapest tricks players can learn. Forget about Fortnite, PUBG players always look down upon those who camp.
However, it depends from player to player and the way they choose to engage in battles.
Being aggressive works to your advantage only when your skills are amazing. It also depends upon the opponent you’re facing.
Camping, on the other hand, doesn’t have much to do with your other skills. It’s when you’re hiding and waiting for enemies to show up near your location. And dealing the first damage, or eliminating them once and for all.
- Learn camping, there’s no shame.
- Always keep in mind what would you have done if you were in the camper’s shoes.
- It gives you many opportunities for easy kills in a single match.
6. Don’t mess with the Riot shield:
In Fortnite Chapter 5 -build mode where you have no options to shield yourself at any place, Riot shields play a somewhat similar role.
Try carrying them to defend yourself in open areas and avoid damage while shooting.
However, if you come across an opponent who has a riot shield and if it’s a battle you can’t avoid, try finding a cover or moving away from the target.
Choosing to exchange blows with them would up disadvantageous for you as their feet are their only vulnerability. And you’re fully open to be shot away.
- Use riot shields to protect yourself.
- Mobility items could help you get away with the riot-shielded opponent, and
- Give a suitable direction to counterattack.
7. Understanding your loadout:
It is one of the most important things you wanna keep in check. You might have come across many players who don’t prefer meds or mobility.
Everyone has their way of playing and it owes to their loadout.
In Chapter 5, Fortnite tries to balance the usage of items. What’s the use of so many items if no one prefers to use them?
- Always keep helping items, with or without a medallion.
- Mobility items are inevitable. You will need to learn to use some of them as your go-to.
- Prefer different types of Guns in your inventory.
8. Snipers are at their peak in chapter 5:
One of the most ignored forms of shooting in Fortnite was sniping. With ARs and Short-guns doing most of the job, snipers were sidelined.
However, things took a drastic change in Fortnite chapter 5. And the best way to describe the sniper’s potential is your experiences.
The more you play, the more you’ll come across players who resemble the essence of snipers in Fortnite.
Although it would take time to realise the importance and effectiveness of Snipers, it would be worth it.
- Sinpers are better for third-partying and taking out low opponents in one shot.
- You won’t reveal your location too often.
- Camping + sniping goes well together.
9. Learn to use Vehicles:
Gone are the days when you could simply ignore vehicles to walk throughout the map and never bother to drive the premium cars parked just for you.
Here’s the thing, vehicles are not only a mode of transportation in Fortnite. They unintentionally serve the purpose of a perfect cover which you can move accordingly.
I’ve seen many players carrying a car throughout the game. And this depends upon your aim as well.
Exiting and getting inside the car to change the direction of shooting, and confusing your enemies at the same time, is a perfect advantage you gain over those players who don’t bother to change their direction frequently.
- Vehicles are essential for both mobility and cover.
- You can practice and use them as a tactic.
- They are your go-to for rotation and prevention of damages from the late game storm.
10. Don’t take fights in the open:
You have zero chances against an opponent hiding behind a cover, if you are wandering around in the open. Although some cases are exceptional, most of the time it’s the one in the open who ends up in the lobby.
- Take covers before engaging.
- Highrounds must be your priority.
