Raiden Shogun is one of the six Archons in the Genshin Impact Gacha game, where characters hold a major role in the overall enjoyment of the game. She has been the Archon of Inazuma for a very long time now, after the demise of her sister ‘Raiden Makoto’ who was the real Electro Archon.

Raiden Ei would continue to rule Inazuma but a lot has changed after her encounter with the traveler and their efforts to bring Raiden back to her senses. The entire point behind the vision hunt decree was to maintain eternity while eradicating any possible threats.
Change will come to Inazuma, and with it, new possibilities. This will take time, but eventually, the future will bring healing to the scars of the past.
As soon as Raiden Ei realized her mistakes and took measures to seize the vision hunt decree, several new hindrances emerged as consequences. However, as the Archon of Inazuma, Ei couldn’t let her people down.
Even though they were unaware of changes in plans, they always had faith in their Archon and believed her to be the savior of Inazuma throughout eternity.
Everything I have encountered on this journey with you has been from beyond my existing sphere of knowledge. I have much to contemplate in the days to come. But at least I can now see the way ahead.
It was during the Story quest that Raiden Ei stepped outside and experienced Inazuma personally by interacting with various people of her land and witnessing their thoughts regarding their life in Inazuma.
Ei was exposed to several new experiences that filtered and refined her thoughts about “eternity” and the fact that change always takes place regardless of any severe restrictions towards it.

Archons are known for their unique approach and efforts to rule their respective nations. Each nation has had its own Archon since the time they were established or formed.
However, out of all the Archons, Raiden Shogun is known to be the most strict and hostile towards her people, as she didn’t hesitate to initiate cruel measures against them if their actions hindered the plans of ‘eternity’ that she dreamt of.
The vision hunt decree is a great example of her resolve towards eternity. The primary reason for her to maintain eternity is the fact that she lost her sister and other dear comrades over time. Everything precious to her was taken away.
