Hanabi is one of the rare characters in MBLL who had to go through a heartbreak.

She and Hayabusa trained together ever since they were young. But slowly, Hanabi developed certain feelings for him but never revealed them, because a tradition of ninjas forbids them to reveal their feelings towards any individual.
On the night of an occasion, she prepared a special type of meal for him and left just to discover a girl named Kagura in Hayabusa’s arms.
She despised her at first, but with time, she acknowledged the reality and moved on to fulfil her dream of becoming the Akakage.
Throughout her life, Hanabi has been closer to the moon. She would spend a lot of time watching and appreciating its beauty.

When Hanabi was young, she and Hayabusa would have a dual every full moon. And most of the time Hanabi would lose to him and it bothered her a lot. But after growing up, she realised that it didn’t matter if she lost. Those moments were fun for her.

Everyone who pursues power ends up being the weakest. She might be referring to Hanzo.
“You should learn to be humble.”

As I explained above, Hanabi was deeply disappointed in herself whenever she lost to Hayabusa. At first, she challenged Hayabusa for a dual to prove that she was the strongest in both sects.
But later, it became a tradition for the two. They sparred every full moon. And as Hanabi matured, she gave up on winning against Hayabusa.
“You don’t need to reach the pinnacle to bloom, Hanabi.”
No one does! A person needs to constantly develop and yearn for more.
That’s the way we proceed forward. But, the feeling of individualism and self-love must not wither even when you’re struggling through everything.

She wishes to move forward along with Hayabusa.
“Higanbana knows what I deserve.”
That’s the closest thing to Hanabi according to all that we have seen. Although it’s a tool that she uses. She might have a close connection or affection towards the red lily that represents death.

She won’t give up. Her main purpose in life is to become the Akakage and rule their village/nation. But it’s not as easy as it sounds.
Since it’s a ninja world, there are countless enemies that Hanabi must go through.
“The price for power doesn’t pay, Hanzo.”
According to Hanabi, the hunger for power will lead Hanzo to a lonely destination that’s not idle for the human spirit.
“Fear, it drowns you in the dark river of your mind.”
Fear ceases one to act proficiently. It limits the use of their knowledge and skills to a greater degree. It’s both important and harmful depending upon its type.
“The shore is never as far away as it seems.”
An inspiration for everyone to keep working hard until they eventually make it to their Destination. Most of the time they give up just when the shore is about to get in the view.
