And I have mentioned his story in brief at the end of this article.

Yone’s quotes are filled with sad words and lines that reflect on his life.

He loves his brother and will love him as long as his memories of the past don’t fade away.

Here I have mentioned some of the most popular and meaningful quotes from Yone which would help you understand him better in League of Legends.

He might be addressing problems that emerged after he was reborn with the mask that he can’t get rid of no matter how many times he tries.

But it’s a valuable lesson for people to cling to originality. Many tend to sacrifice their real self, just to not offend others or to keep up with the trend.

“Many mistake me for the nightmares I slay. Hmph, let them.

Even if he’s reborn with the powers of Akazana, he’s not one of them. The mere thought of being an Akazana annoys him.

Forget the past, it only clouds the future.

Yone is either trying to convince himself or imparting lessons to others about the influence of the past in our present or future.

Yone regrets his past but he’s in a position where regretting might turn out to be a disadvantage. As the Akazana consumes on the negative emotions of their host.

Sometimes, to save someone, you must fight them.

It has a deep meaning that implies everywhere. In the case of Yone, he intended to fight all those who had been possessed by the Akazana demons. And the only way to save them is to fight.

“Sleep is not for the weak, but for the blessed.

He might be referring to peace. People who are scared or constantly live in fear, can’t live peacefully.

One blade carries the weight of my past. The other holds the key to my future…

He has become a product of both his guilt and ambitions. The path he’s walking won’t lead him anywhere good, but he’s fighting anyway.

“Fear, once named, controls no one.

In the lore, if the name of the Akazana who possessed someone is known by the host, then the Akazana would lose its ability to control the host once and for all.

And in life, most of the time we are often afraid of things that we don’t know about.

There might be a strange place that humanity never visited, in that case, they’ll be afraid of it. But once it’s discovered, the fear would diminish accordingly.

So many try to flee their burdens. Fleeing is impossible!

Escape from burdens is never the permanent solution. It would find its way to you ultimately. The best choice is always to deal with them.

“Rare is the person who shows their true face.

In this world, people who reveal their true self and intentions are rare. Most people hide their true selves from the world.

“In this cursed second life, where does the mask end, and I begin?

He is reborn and finds it difficult to determine the purpose of his existence. Yone despises the Akazana and continues to fight them.

Haunted by a past I cannot change.

He was killed by his brother. They lived together and were present for each other at all times, in sorrow and joy.

Long before blades and sorcery are needed, words… can save a soul.

That’s the only way to free someone from the curse of Akazana. And words are the ultimate solution that promotes understanding, not weapons.

“In life, we died at each other’s hands. How can I bear to face my brother now?

He did face his bother but the conversation between the two wasn’t anything brotherly.

“I thought death would grant me peace… How naive.

Instead of peace, he was cursed to be reborn with a mask that was impossible to remove.

Some days I forget what lies behind this mask.

Yone is scared to forget his past and transform into a monster that knows no feelings.

Bound to the world of the living…” Yone sighs. “Denied the peace of death.

It’s one of the worst things that has happened to Yone.

When we met in the spirit realm, this Azakana upon my face knew me!

The Akazana who aimed to consume Yone was keeping an eye on him for a very long time.

“No fate, nor destiny. Only tomorrow.

Understandable!

“The road to ruin, I’ve walked it once before.

He fought his brother and lost. He couldn’t even protect his people, nor the elder who was dear to him.

short and sad Yone quotes;

Ah, to be blind to the true dangers of this world!”

In the lore, people didn’t fear Akazana because they weren’t aware of their presence. However, the evil spirits continued to consume the negative emotions inside people and survived.

Brother, our paths cross once again. Will our swords do the same?”

He was confused, but, luckily their swords didn’t clash when the two met again.

Death rejected me, but I’m sure it will welcome you!”

Yone was a powerful and determined soul. He fought back and defeated the Akazana who was about to transform Yone into a monster.

“They look at me and see only the mask.”

This quote goes deeper than a wound. After all, Yone was a recognised person.

YONE quotes to other characters:

“A broken mask meets a dishonoured blade.” — To Yasuo

The two brothers reunion.

“Perhaps you can charm some sense into my foolish brother, Ahri.”

Ahri became the new guide for Yasuo.

“Guilt clings to you, Riven. Forgive yourself, or the Azakana will find you.”

“Do not wish to hide behind masks, Lillia. Yours… is a kind face.”

“Living nightmare! I will end you before you cross paths with the dream fawn!”

“An innocent spirit! I’d… almost forgotten those existed!” — To Yordles

Yone’s story and lore explained:

Yone and Yasuo were brothers from different fathers, in the story, they have been referred to as half-brothers.

They grew up in Ionia where Yone was a respected and well-recognised individual with unmatched mastery of sword skills.

whereas Yasuo was a little undisciplined and reckless, he didn’t bother much with the formalities and had a completely different personality when compared to his brother.

He was impulsive in contrast to his elder brother Yone, who was a perfect example of discipline and carried out his duties effectively, setting an example for the people.

They both practised swordsmanship from the same master and lived their lives in harmony until one day, war consumed Ionia.

Yone didn’t allow his brother to participate in the battlefield actively and ordered him to protect master Suma who was the last to teach wind technique.

But, Yasuo disobeyed his brother’s order and embarked on the battlefield to handle the invading Noxian army.

Suma was alone when Riven arrived and requested him to cleanse her sword. Suma used his wind technique to cleanse the sword which resulted in him dying after the sword shattered and one of its shards hit him.

Upon returning, Yone was enraged and filled with sorrow after knowing that Suma was killed and Yasuo was nowhere to be found.

Since there was no one around when Suma died, everyone assumed that Yasuo killed Suma and ran away.

Things turned out to be difficult for Yasuo and he decided to flee before the village brands him as the murderer, he even killed some of the guards who pursued him.

Yone catches up to his brother and there is no room for words. The two engaged in a death battle which unfortunately ended with Yone getting killed at the hands of his brother.

However, death wasn’t the final resting place for him. He woke up in the spirit realm and had to fight an unknown Akazana who was staring at him for a very long time.

Although Yone was unmatched while in a battle with the demon, he managed to defeat it at the cost of a mask that’s attached to his face forever and reminds Yone that he might one day turn into the demon he despises the most.

The only way for him to free himself of this curse is to know the name of his Akazana. He continues to slay other demons of the same kind with the new powers granted to him after he’s reborn.
